Product Description
History
TAG Heuer’s Carrera CV2A1M.FT6033, like other watches in the TAG Heuer Carrera series, is inspired by motor racing. The Carrera was introduced by Jack Heuer, the great grandson of the founder of TAG Heuer and the CEO of the company for 20 years. The Carrera Series was launched in the year 1963 and was stopped in 1982 when Jack left the company but was re-launched in 1996 by Jack Heuer himself.
Design
The watch’s inspiration from motor racing can be clearly seen in its design, especially the strap. Its strap is made from black rubber and features a unique ‘tyre tread’ design. The case of the watch is made using polished steel while the bezel of the watch is made using black aluminium which is brushed. Its black dial is complimented by the hands and markers which use dual colours of black and silver. Its dual colour scheme is also sported by the three sub-dials of the watch. The Collections connection with the Monaco Grand Prix is quite obvious owing to the bright red ‘MONACO GRAND PRIX’ stamped on the bezel and tachymeter scale. Also, the back case of the watch features the Grand Prix Monaco logo with the limited edition XXXX/4000 markings letting customers know of its exclusivity.
Features
The TAG Heuer Carrera CV2A1M.FT6033 features three su-dials: a chronograph hour recorder at 6 o’clock, chronograph minute recorder at 12 o’clock and finally a running seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. There is also a day and date window at the 3 o’clock position. The case window of the watch is made using sapphire crystal glass which is extremely durable. It has undergone double anti-reflective treatment for improved readability.
