Rado V10K

History

In 1917, three brothers- Ernst, Fritz and Werner Schlup opened a clockwork factory. Like all success stories, Rado too had a humble beginning. Within 40 years of its inception, the company emerged itself as a watch maker, and introduced its first collection. When we look at Rado today, the image created in our head, is that of high tech ceramics and watches, which are strong and literally indestructible. Their first breakthrough in manufacturing a scratch resistant piece was in 1962.

Interesting facts

For decades, Rado had envisaged making watches from a material as hard as natural diamond. As a result of painstaking research and use of cutting-edge nanotechnology, the Rado dream became a reality. With its uniquely resistant diamond surface the Rado V10K achieves a hardness of 10,000 Vickers.
