About the Parmigiani Tonda PF Collection

The Parmigiani Tonda PF collection stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to luxury and innovation, launched in 2021 as a modern interpretation of the classic Tonda line. The PF in the name signifies “Parmigiani Fleurier,” reflecting the collection's connection to the brand’s heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics and advanced horological technology. Designed for the discerning collector, the Tonda PF collection captures the essence of sophistication and mechanical artistry, embodying Parmigiani’s quest for perfection in every detail.

Features And Design

The Tonda PF collection features a sleek, streamlined design, with cases typically sized between 40 to 42mm, crafted from high-quality materials such as 18k rose gold and stainless steel. The cases exhibit a distinctive rounded profile and an elegant bezel, enhancing the overall refinement of the timepieces. The dials are available in a variety of finishes, including deep blue and silvery opaline, with sunburst patterns that catch the light beautifully. A key design element is the exhibition caseback, which showcases the intricate, hand-finished movements. The Tonda PF is powered by the in-house PF703 automatic movement, featuring a micro-rotor and offering an impressive 48-hour power reserve. The collection also includes the PF070 and PF339 movements, known for their exceptional reliability and accuracy. The hands and hour markers are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, often coated in luminous material. The collection also introduces a new knurled crown design, adding a tactile element that enhances the user experience.

Notable Iterations

The Tonda PF collection encompasses several exquisite models that cater to various tastes. The Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante stands out with its dual-time zone functionality and split-seconds chronograph, showcasing Parmigiani’s technical prowess. Another noteworthy model is the Tonda PF Chronograph, which combines elegance with sporty features, making it versatile for any occasion. Other releases in the Tonda PF collection have included special editions and variations that celebrate Parmigiani's artistic flair, with dials in striking colours and finishes.
