About the Oris Artelier Collection
Oris, founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, are renowned for their high-quality mechanical diver and pilot watches. Notable timepieces like the Depth Gauge and ProPilot Altimeter have cemented Oris' reputation for focused and functional designs. However, Oris also showcase their elegant side through collections like the Artelier. This collection offers classic, smooth, and mechanically impressive watches that provide a refined alternative to their more rugged counterparts.
Design And Functionality
The Oris Artelier line, including models like the Artelier S and Complication, focuses on clean design and functionality. The Artelier S watch has a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and a slim bezel for a refined look. It features a simple crown and a skeletonised caseback with mineral glass, keeping its minimalist style. It comes with a smooth dark brown or black leather strap and a stainless steel folding clasp for comfort and elegance. The Artelier Complication combines classic design with advanced features like moon phase indicators, calendar displays, and chronographs, showcasing Oris' mix of style and technical skill.
Performance
With its powerful Oris 733 calibre, which is based on the Sellita SW200, the Oris Artelier S can maintain precise time with centre hands for hours, minutes, and seconds at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). Together with a 38-hour power reserve, this automatic movement has a stop-second function and a precision timing device. Because of its functional features and attractive appearance, the Artelier S is a great option for formal and informal settings. Likewise, the Oris Artelier Complication, driven by the Oris 915 calibre, which is derived from the Sellita SW400, has features such as a display for the day and date, a moon phase indicator, and a second-time zone. Both versions are made for people who appreciate appearance and practicality; they are the epitome of mechanical perfection and subtle grace.
