About the MeisterSinger Perigraph Collection

The name ‘Perigraph’ draws from the Greek words ‘peri’, meaning ‘around’, and ‘graph’, meaning ‘write’—an apt reflection of the watch’s standout feature: its 360-degree date display. Unlike traditional date windows or sub-dials, the Perigraph’s exposed date disc rotates around the centre of the dial, indicated by a red triangle at 12 o’clock. This unique approach adds depth to the dial and creates a dynamic visual element that complements the single-hand time display.

Design And Features

Perigraph embraces minimalism while maintaining an engaging complexity. The collection’s clean layout highlights MeisterSinger’s single-hand approach, which requires the wearer to adopt a more deliberate sense of time. The date disc’s full-circle design enriches the dial without clutter, striking a balance between simplicity and detailed craftsmanship. Each watch in the collection showcases an open dial framed by a thin, polished stainless steel case that enhances the overall aesthetic. The slightly domed sapphire crystal ensures clear legibility while maintaining the Perigraph’s refined profile. Early models featured classic ivory dials with bold black indices and a striking black central hand.

The brand expanded the collection to incorporate modern updates, such as the sunburst blue dial accented with crisp white elements. The 38mm versions have been particularly notable, offering a refined option that aligns with current preferences for more compact timepieces while retaining the signature details of the original 43mm design. Limited editions within the collection, like the Earth edition, have further demonstrated the brand’s creativity, introducing unique artistic elements such as a sculptural depiction of the planet. Newer models have seen a move towards more daring colours, including burgundy and petrol, enhancing the collection’s versatility. Each variation stays true to the Perigraph’s core identity, maintaining its distinctive single-hand design and 360-degree date display while allowing room for playful yet balanced colour schemes and accents.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

Sellita is one of the largest manufacturers of Swiss watch movements, known for their precision and reliability. Many top luxury watch brands use Sellita movements, modifying them to fit their specific requirements. Sellita SW300 was introduced around 2008 as an alternative to the ETA 2824 movement. It is an automatic movement with a ball-bearing winding mechanism. It has a diameter of 25.60mm and a height of 3.60mm, is equipped with 25 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 4Hz. Its functions include hours, minutes, and centre seconds, along with a date corrector. Initially providing a power reserve of 42 hours, the addition of a new barrel in 2021 has extended the running autonomy of this calibre to 56 hours.
