About the MeisterSinger Phanero Collection
Introduced in 2016 during Baselworld, the Phanero stood as MeisterSinger's commitment to redefining watch proportions. At a time when larger watch cases were the norm, the Phanero offered a more intimate 35 mm case width, evoking memories of vintage timepieces while maintaining a strong presence on the wrist. This smaller size, paired with the refined manual winding movement, highlighted a return to classic watchmaking principles but with a modern twist. Unlike their previous models, which leaned heavily on smooth, rounded forms, the Phanero brought an assertive touch with its angular lines and bold lugs, establishing itself as a piece of confident subtlety.
Bauhaus Elegance And Modern Geometry: The Distinctive Design Of The Phanero
Phanero leans towards a blend of minimalism influenced by Bauhaus-inspired aesthetics, distinguished by a more geometric structure. The watch features a slim, polished bezel that accentuates the dial’s prominence. The interplay of brushed and polished surfaces along the case lends a refined textural contrast that subtly elevates the overall appearance. A key visual detail is the faceted lugs, which add an element of masculinity and balance to the smaller case size. These lugs, combined with the crisp lines of the case, provide a structured look that differentiates the Phanero from previous MeisterSinger designs, such as the rounder Neo.
The dials in the Phanero collection are striking, defined by their vibrant use of colour and appliqué numerals that contrast against the background. The collection offers various editions, each showcasing distinct colour palettes: an ivory dial with blue numerals, grey with red or gold numerals, blue with white numerals, and green with white numerals. The application of colour not only enhances legibility but also imbues each iteration with its own character. The raised numeral hour markers further underscore the collection’s signature, providing depth and an added visual focal point. True to the brand’s identity, the Phanero maintains the single-hand time display. The design fosters an appreciation for simplicity, where the absence of second-hand and detailed minute markers aligns with the brand's intention to create watches that exude an unhurried, timeless quality. Each Phanero model is powered by the reliable hand-wound Sellita SW 210 movement, visible through a transparent caseback.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The Sellita SW210 is a distinguished hand-wound mechanical movement that competes robustly with the renowned ETA 2801-2, enhanced by two additional jewels. Ticking at a precise 28,800 beats per hour, it delivers smooth and reliable performance, capturing the essence of mechanical precision. Its 19 jewels play a crucial role in minimising friction and bolstering the movement's longevity. With a 42-hour power reserve, it provides dependable energy storage, embodying a balance of form and function. This analogue display mechanism exemplifies Sellita's dedication to traditional watchmaking, merging heritage with meticulous engineering to uphold their reputation for quality craftsmanship.
