About the Maurice Lacroix 1975 Collection

Maurice Lacroix have marked their 50th anniversary with the introduction of the 1975 Collection, a series of timepieces that blend vintage influences with modern craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from their heritage while embracing contemporary watchmaking techniques, this collection reflects their commitment to offering refined yet accessible timepieces. With a balance of classic aesthetics and practical functionality, the 1975 Collection captures the essence of Swiss watchmaking while adapting to modern tastes.

Design Language And Iterations

The collection comprises 12 references, offering both automatic and quartz movements to cater to diverse preferences. Each timepiece is housed in a stainless steel case, available in two diameters—36mm and 40mm —with a slim profile of 10mm, ensuring a comfortable fit for various wrist sizes. The cases are water-resistant up to 100 metres, enhancing their practicality for daily wear. Dial options of these Maurice Lacroix's include sun-brushed finishes in blue, black, and silver, each adorned with rhodium-plated, faceted trapeze indices and dauphine hands. A notable detail is the colour-matched date wheel positioned at three o'clock, demonstrating Maurice Lacroix's commitment to cohesive design elements.

The automatic models are powered by the ML115 calibre, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a 38-hour power reserve. The movement features sandblasted and nickel finishes, with a rotor decorated with Côtes de Genève, visible through the open caseback. For those who prefer quartz precision, the collection offers Maurice Lacroix watches for men and owmen equipped with the Ronda 515 movement, featuring a date function at six o'clock. Versatility is further emphasised through the EasyChange system, allowing wearers to effortlessly switch between a five-row stainless steel bracelet and leather straps in coordinating colours. This feature enables personalisation to suit different occasions and styles. By revisiting and modernising elements from their Les Classiques series, Maurice Lacroix have crafted the 1975 Collection to resonate with both long-standing enthusiasts and new admirers. The collection embodies their dedication to Swiss craftsmanship and offers a harmonious blend of heritage and innovation.
