Product Description
History
The Longines Saint-Imier Collection is a series of exclusive watches that have been designed drawing inspiration from the historic styles developed over the years by the brand. This collection has taken its name from the village of Saint-Imier, which is the birthplace and home of Longines. The range of timepieces in this collection showcases the brand’s connect with its exquisite timeless designs.
Design
The Longines Saint-Imier Chronograph L2.752.4.52.6 is made using polished stainless steel. For additional protection, the lens of the watch is made using scratch resistant sapphire crystal and features multiple layers of anti reflective coating on its underside in order to make it easier to tell the time in bright sun light. The band of the watch is made using steel and uses a double clasp as a buckle. The dial of the watch is black with silver markers and polished silver hands. The dial has three sub dials at the 9 o’clock, 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock positions.
Features
The watch uses L688 calibre with 27 stones and has a power reserve of 54 hours. The functions of the three sub dials are as follows. The second’s dial is at the 9 o’clock position; the 30-minute sub dial is at the 3 o’clock position while the 12 hour sub dial is at the 6 o’clock position. The date window is placed between the 4 o’clock and the 5 o’clock markers. The crown of the watch is on the right and has two pusher buttons on its either sides. These pusher buttons perform the various functions of the watch. The watch can also withstand being submerged in 30 meters of water without any problems what so ever.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The Longines calibre L688 is an automatic chronograph movement developed by ETA exclusively for Longines, based on the ETA A08.L01. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 54-hour power reserve. Featuring a column-wheel mechanism, the L688 provides smoother and more precise chronograph operation. This calibre is commonly found in Longines' sports chronographs, including the HydroConquest, Flagship, and Conquest collections, offering a combination of durability, precision, and sophistication.
