About the Chronoswiss Classic Collection

Chronoswiss exert their dominance in the watchmaking world with exceptional regulator watches, a style they have mastered since the introduction of their first regulator watch in 1987. Subsequently, the regulator-style dial design, where the hours, minutes and seconds are separated in different dials, has become one of the most recognisable features of a Chronoswiss watch. And, it stays in the catbird seat within the brand's Classic collection. The Chronoswiss Classic collection comprises elegant regulator watches boasting a harmonious blend of artistry and engineering. These timepieces tribute the rich Swiss watchmaking heritage that has defined Chronoswiss for decades.

Iterations

The collection is primarily charged with Regulator Classic watches that underscore the line's homage to Chronoswiss' legacy. They feature hours at 12 in a bigger sub-dial, tailed by a smaller one at six, marking the seconds. Meanwhile, the minutes are indicated via a scale on the dial's periphery. Additionally, the collection houses the ReSec Classic, a non-regulator watch that boasts retrograde seconds complication as the lodestone. Both watches are powered by automatic movements with a shared power reserve of approximately 42 hours.

Features

In addition to the regulator style, Chronoswiss watches are also defined by some signature elements. These characteristics, including the knurled case, an oversized onion crown, and curved lugs with rounded ends, are harmoniously incorporated into both Regulator and ReSec Classic watches. As a result, these timepieces carry an unmistakable Chronoswiss appearance, enhanced by an impressive polished finish throughout the sizeable cases.

The dial design is streamlined and forwards a clean aesthetic. All the timekeeping elements are presented on the backdrop of classic hues like blue, black, silver, and more. Most Classic watches are rendered in steel, with the exciting exception of the Regular Classic in Blue steel.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

The powerhouse of all the new-generation Chronoswiss Regulator Classic watches is the calibre C.295. It replaces calibre C.291 used in the older models, bringing an increased power reserve of 42 hours. While beating at a frequency of 28,800vph (4Hz), it fuels the minutes, hours and hacking seconds functions. This movement is based on an ETA structure and modified for seamless inclusion of the in-house developed regulator module.
