About the BVLGARI BVLGARI BVLGARI Collection
BVLGARI redefined the boundaries of watchmaking by seamlessly blending the worlds of high jewellery and precise timekeeping, proving their prowess in haute horlogerie. In 1977, the remarkable success of the BVLGARI ROMA model, a limited edition made for the top 100 clients during Christmas, paved the way for the iconic BVLGARI BVLGARI timepiece. This design, featuring the engraved BVLGARI BVLGARI logo on the bezel, became a symbol of prestige and innovation. The inspiration for this distinctive feature came from ancient Roman coins, where inscriptions of power surrounded the imagery of emperors. Similarly, the cylindrical case of the BVLGARI BVLGARI was inspired by the columns of Roman temples, showcasing a design that, while seemingly simple, was the result of meticulous architectural study. This marked the beginning of a new era of design experimentation for the brand.
Features
The BVLGARI BVLGARI watch is characterised by pure, simple, yet robust lines. The twice-engraved BVLGARI logo on the bezel earned the timepiece the nickname "BB." The watches under the collection sport neatly configured dials, while including complications like a chronograph function and GMT. Opulent materials like rose gold and the gem-setting on the dial add an extra touch of luxury to the collection. Furthermore, the BVLGARI BVLGARI dress watches offer multiple options of straps and bracelets, allowing for personalisation and style versatility. When adorned with a metal or gold bracelet, the watch transforms into a stunning jewellery piece, elevating it to a sophisticated accessory, appealing to those with a taste for both luxury timepieces and fine jewellery.
Mechanism
BVLGARI BVLGARI collection predominantly caters to women and uses quartz movements in its watches. However, a few timepieces feature mechanical automatic mechanisms driven by in-house self-winding movements.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
BVLGARI introduced the Solotempo calibre BVL 191 in 2013. Its name is derived from the Italian words "solo tempo," which means "only time." This mechanical movement was entirely conceived, developed, and crafted in-house by BVLGARI's best designers, engineers, and experts. The BVL 191 features automatic winding facilitated by a ceramic ball-bearing-mounted oscillating weight and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It has a power reserve of 42 hours and can accurately record hours, minutes, seconds, and dates. Additionally, it features an instant date changer and a stop-seconds device for balance blockage when the crown is pulled. The movement also has a disconnecting system, which prevents wear on the pinions and conserves energy during winding via the crown or oscillating weight.
