The Perpetual Moon 38 Red Gold embodies Arnold & Son’s dedication to creating timepieces that merge artistic sophistication with impeccable mechanics. With its compact dimensions and exquisite detailing, this model offers a timeless interpretation of one of horology’s most poetic complications: the moonphase. Encased in 18K red gold, the 38mm case showcases a perfect balance of refinement and understated elegance. The highlight of the watch is its blue aventurine dial, adorned with shimmering metallic particles, which seamlessly merges into a celestial vault crafted from the same radiant glass, evoking the infinite beauty of the night sky. Dominating the upper portion of the dial is the moonphase aperture, where a meticulously hand-painted moon, set against a star-studded backdrop, commands attention. The moonphase complication achieves remarkable precision, requiring adjustment only once every 122 years. At the heart of this masterpiece is the A&S1612 manual-winding calibre. The Perpetual Moon 38 Red Gold is completed with a matching blue alligator leather strap, offering comfort and a seamless aesthetic. With water resistance up to 30 metres, this timepiece is as functional as it is beautiful, designed to accompany both everyday moments and special occasions.

About the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon Collection
At Baselworld 2013, Arnold & Son launched the world's largest moon phase display with their Perpetual Moon collection that spotlighted this celestial complication boldly in a sizeable aperture of 29mm. With such a spectacular display of the moon phase coupled with brilliant craftsmanship, the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon collection invites wearers to an aesthetic watchmaking journey.
The Chronicles of the Perpetual Moon
The ultimate charm of these Arnold & Son watches lies in the dial. Therefore, an array of intricate designs, the use of exclusive materials, and the application of beautiful gemstones are rife on the dial that holds the watch's lodestone — the moon phase indicator. Naturally, this moon phase aperture is even more exquisite as it mimics the beauty of the night sky. Alongside a realistic depiction of the moon, this display carries recreations of two constellations — the Big Dipper and the Cassiopeia. The choice of these constellations is quite discerning, for they were used by navigators in the Northern Hemisphere to find the North Star.
Features
These Arnold & Son watches for men and women are offered in a slew of case sizes and are also available in different materials such as red gold, platinum and stainless steel. Most Perpetual Moon watches are powered by the in-house movement A&S1512, whereas the 38mm version for women is driven by A&S1612. Both these movements are manually wound and offer a power reserve of 90 hours while beating at 3Hz or 21,600vph. These calibres are meticulously constructed to ensure moon phase accuracy for 122 years. Visible through the case, they are finished impeccably, showing traditional decoration, such as Côtes de Genève stripes, chamfering, bevelling, and polishing. Though inside the 38mm version, the A&S1612 movement takes charge.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Arnold & Son has developed the calibre A&S1612 for the smaller sizes of the Perpetual Moon watches, making it the smallest in-house calibre by the brand. The movement measures 30mm in diameter and 10.44mm thick. This manually wound movement includes a moon-phase indicator with an accuracy of 122 years, and it offers a power reserve of 90 hours while operating at 21,600 beats per hour.
