Based in Le Sentier, with hundreds of inventions and over 1200 calibres to their name, including the world’s smallest calibre, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s relationship with innovation has resulted in the birth of some of the most prized, luxury watches in history. Founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, the company has produced over 1,242 different calibres, registered approximately 400 patents and is behind the creation of hundreds of inventions, which is why they are still a leading player in the watchmaking world. The brand have always represented themselves as a part of a rich and eventful legacy, committed to utmost excellence to reach new heights of innovation. This very philosophy has defined their success for centuries.
Not only have they mastered the art of creating new technological marvels but have retained their distinct style in almost all of their watches. Jaeger-LeCoultre have designed some of the world’s most complicated wristwatches of the old and modern era, carefully crafted with intricate details to make them perfect that never go unnoticed. The collections employed under Jaeger-LeCouture watches are Reverso, Polaris, Duometre, Master, and Rendez-Vous.
The Reverso
Reverso’s distinct rectangular shape with sleek lines are inspired by the Art Deco movement from the 1930s, a movement combining modern style with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. The motive behind the concept of this unique collection was a direct challenge from a polo-playing British Army officer stationed in India. The challenge was to create a timepiece that can swivel on its axis and provide a strong cover for the timepiece from the mallet blows. This swivel now offers an ideal setting for personalised engraving, setting or enamelling. After celebrating 60 years of Reverso, the Grande Maison created the Duetto/Duo concept which enables a second dial on the back. The Reverso is available in three distinct series: One, Classic and Tribute.
The Master
With a rewarding history, the timeless Master collection offers a set of handsome, high-performance round timepieces for men that showcase the unique expertise for which Jaeger-LeCoultre watches are renowned. A combination of sophistication and distinctive personality, there are three series with their own distinctive characteristics and appeal — Master Ultra Thin, Master Control, and Master Grande Tradition — to ensure there is something for every fine watchmaking enthusiast.
The Rendez-Vous
Equipped with various complications and complimented with extreme sophistication, the Endowed collection is an amalgamation of fine watchmaking and pleasing aesthetics, made by one of the first Maisons to craft watches for women. Mother-of-pearl and fine guilloché dials, finished with floral hands that indicate the hours, conceal a selection of hypnotizing complications: tourbillon, day/night indicator, moon phases... A collection of the utmost delicacy, created for the 21st century. Precious, sophisticated and resolutely feminine, the Rendez-Vous collection perfectly masters the balance between intense beauty and watchmaking mechanisms.
The Polaris
Inspired by the brand's iconic 1968 Memovox Polaris, this collection features a range of sophisticated timepieces that cater to the adventurous spirit. Each model is meticulously crafted, showcasing remarkable technical prowess, including the Dual Time and Chronograph functions for the discerning traveller. The bold yet refined aesthetics, highlighted by luminescent indexes and rotating bezels, ensure both functionality and style. As versatile companions, the Polaris watches seamlessly transition from casual to formal settings, epitomising the essence of luxury watchmaking. Whether underwater or on land, the Polaris collection stands as a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre's commitment to excellence and innovation.
