New Top Time And A New Ambassador For Breitling: Austin Butler, The Face Of Top Time B31
In the pursuit of capturing nature’s purest beauty, complexity often emerges as its most stunning expression. This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the Jacob & Co. Fleurs de Jardin collection, with its extraordinary blend of intricate mechanics and delicate femininity. Based on the renowned Astronomia calibre, the collection brings to life a vision of a flourishing garden, where flowers and butterflies are not merely decorative but integral to the movement of the timepiece. Each dial is a vibrant display of colour, with meticulously arranged gemstone petals forming a mesmerising floral landscape. The rotating tourbillon, shaped like a butterfly, glides effortlessly around the central Jacob-cut gem, symbolising the heart of this enchanted garden.
A Horological Greenhouse
The Jacob & Co. Fleurs de Jardin elevates haute horlogerie by presenting an intricately detailed miniature garden within its timepiece. The design centres around a vertical axis, with a mother-of-pearl base, gracefully adorned with rotating gemstone flowers set a backdrop of exquisite gem-setting. The movement’s complexity is evident as the flowers, made from meticulously cut gemstones, spin gracefully. Each flower’s design incorporates rare cuts like the Jacob Cut, ensuring that every piece of this mechanical garden reflects the pinnacle of high jewellery craftsmanship.
At the heart of the Fleurs de Jardin is the calibre JCAM31, a hand-wound movement comprised of 444 components, offering a 48-hour power reserve and running at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Noteworthy technical features include a vertically rotating central platform and a double-axis flying tourbillon, completing a full rotation every 60 seconds. The off-centred hour and minute dial incorporates a patented differential system, ensuring the time remains upright and legible despite the platform’s motion. Encased in 18K Rose Gold or 18K White Gold, the timepiece is resplendent with 134 baguette-cut sapphires or diamonds, depending on the model. Complemented by an alligator leather strap and a butterfly-shaped clasp, every element of the Fleurs de Jardin exudes both luxury and functionality.
