CIGA Design's Series M collection showcases a unique blend of artistic expression and mechanical ingenuity. This collection is designed with versatility in mind, allowing the wearer to engage with the watch on a personal level by switching its visual form. With a concept never seen before, the Series M comes with three distinctive, detachable bezels that transform the complete look of the watch in a jiffy. The vision behind this unique approach is to challenge the conventions of watch design and offer something truly original.
Design And Concept
The idea behind this modular design of Series M is also to provide a timepiece that adapts to various occasions and styles. The innovative case-switching mechanism, often referred to as "Magician" by the brand, allows users to easily change the case shape, switching between round, tonneau, and square. As a result, it's a watch that could work seamlessly in a formal setting with the round bezel, at casual outings with the tonneau bezel, and even for sporty occasions with the square one.
A minimalist yet futuristic aesthetic characterises the collection, while the unique "floating" movement is one of its major lodestones. Completely visible through the skeletonised dial, the movement features a transparent inner cover that gives it a three-dimensional structure and the appearance of being suspended in the air. Interestingly, the brand has applied the collection's transformational capabilities to the movement as well, adapting the maison's original calibre CD-03 to both automatic and manual-winding mechanisms.
Key Features
The watches in Series M are available in steel and titanium, featuring an inner container, contoured by an engraved ring with a minute scale. It comes with an ergonomic mechanical replacement mechanism that allows the bezel to be switched using two buttons. Another recognisable element of the watch is the highly luminous gear-shaped hands, for a distinct look.
